We require experienced analysts to join our already successful team in London. Experience and expertise within the oil, energy or tanker markets is essential together with a proven track record of achievement in your field. The successful candidates will be confident in presenting information to clients and be articulate and self motivating.

 
Applicant requirements:

A degree in Economics or a related discipline is preferred and fluency in other languages would be advantageous but not essential. Candidates are required to have an understanding of the relevant commercial markets have extensive experience of analytical tools and be able to contribute to the development of forecasting and modelling.

Research Associate

Clarkson Research is a leading provider of market intelligence and research to the global shipping, offshore, oil and gas industries, and a market leading specialist in the analysis and economics of the global oil and tanker, dry cargo and container shipping sectors as well as the world shipbuilding industry. Clarkson Research provides hard copy and web-based services, including the shipping sector’s leading on-line information service, to key industry decision-makers. Research Associate positions are within the shipping research team and involve the ongoing analysis of key information and data on the drivers of the dynamic, fast-paced and global shipping industry. Successful candidates will, after a period of training, take on early personal responsibility as editor of one of the regular research publications covering shipping and the related markets. The appointment offers excellent opportunities and career prospects with Clarkson Research and the Clarksons PLC Group.

 
Applicant requirements:

The company is recruiting new and recent graduates for Research Associate positions. Successful candidates require attention to detail, numerical skills, and the ability to extract relevant trends and present information in a clear and readily understandable way. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Good literacy and analytical skills are more important than degree subject.
